What is Breath & Body Mindful Yoga?

Breath & Body Mindful Yoga is a unique combination of gentle movement, breath awareness and basic mindfulness.
Each session begins with connecting with the breath and a warm-up. This is followed by a sequence of movements and beginner yoga poses.
We check-in regularly with how our body is feeling which helps our mind be present. The session closes with a moment of stillness.
Is Mindful Yoga for me?
If you:
-> want physical movement but with care for your body
-> have always wanted to try yoga but don’t think you are flexible or you have some physical concerns
-> would like to (re-)connect with your breath and body
-> want a moment of self-care for yourself, with the guidance and support of a certified teacher

Held online (via Zoom) or in-person (residential location just outside of Leuven, Belgium). If in-person, our space is on the ground level and has a nice view of trees and a garden. There is a spot for parking your car or bike and there are nearby bus stops.

There are several locations for group sessions – please check carefully which location is for the date you are interested!

This group location is a quiet and inviting space, located on the ring road around Leuven (at the Naamsepoort intersection). We will meet in the Kinepraktijk space (lower level, note there are stairs down to this room). Residential parking, public bike parking, nearby bus stop.

Be amazed as this cozy cafe is transformed into an intimate space to connect with movement and breath. This family business, hosted by Enas and Mohamed, is full of heart and located in a quiet neighbourhood. Bike and residential car parking is available with a nearby bus stop (#3 De Lijn).



Why sign up for a session with Lorinda?
I am a certified mindfulness and yoga teacher with an interest in wellness and well-being that began more than 25 years ago.
I have delivered over 120+ hours of mindful movement, yoga, meditation and mindful eating sessions to colleagues and community members (both group and private). These sessions have been well-attended and I have received positive feedback.

I have always felt an attraction and curiosity toward self-awareness and learning and how to live my own best life – I am happy to share some of this with you!

What to expect in a Mindful Yoga group session
- Designated dates for the sessions – to help you plan and make a commitment
- Small class size in a quiet setting (max. 5 – 6 people depending on location)
- Opportunity to ask questions before and after the session
- Explanations in easy-to-understand English (with conversational possibilities in Flemish and French)
- Choice to commit to the entire series at the beginning (cost-savings) or purchase individual sessions to attend when you can.
- As space may be limited, advance registration is required.
- If the minimum # of participants is not reached by noon on the day of each session, the session may be cancelled. If the session is confirmed to go ahead, registrations will be accepted until maximum capacity.

TIP! Please register ahead to secure your spot. Whether each session will run is dependent on a minimum confirmed and paid attendance and available space each week.

Your private or group session is only confirmed once the above Registration details have been submitted by you and payment is received in full.
If a cancellation is required for a private session, a reschedule date will first be considered. If there is no possibility for rescheduling then a refund may be issued if notice is given by you more than 24 hours in advance or at my discretion if less than this.
Group sessions will only run with a minimum number of registered participants. If a session or series is cancelled, or if the trainer feels a session or series is not an appropriate fit for a participant at any given moment in time, the relevant participant(s) will be notified and payment refunded. No refunds will be made after the indicated cut-off or Registration deadline (indicated above) if a participant cancels.
By registering as a participant in a private or group Mindful Yoga session with Lorinda you agree to the following:
– I understand that yoga, stretching, physical movement, breath work, mindfulness, meditation and other associated activities can include physical movements as well as an opportunity for pain and body awareness, relaxation, stress re-education and relief of muscular and emotional tension. As is the case with any physical and emotional activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated.
– I will make the instructor (Lorinda) aware of any medical conditions, physical limitations or psychological disorders before the session. If I experience any pain or discomfort during an event or course offered by Lorinda I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor. I assume full responsibility for any and all damages, which may occur through my choice to participate.
