Referrals

Looking for a place for your clients to land?

Want to help someone continue their inner work?

If you feel a client might benefit from my approach and experience, let’s discuss if a referral would be appropriate.

A mindful and grounded approach

I offer possibilities for individual sessions as well as specialised workshops or speakers series for groups (solo or collaborating).

The guidance and each session I provide is developed and implemented with basic principles of well-being and mindfulness (including working with breath, practicing self-awareness, noticing impact of thoughts/feelings on body).

Attention is given to the needs of the individual or group, balanced with the solid foundation of my own experience and knowledge. I help guide with tips and tools to be in the present moment.

Modifications and options for participation are offered to encourage engagement and sensitivity to injuries and other trauma.

Sessions are usually offered in English language (I’m from Canada), with basic conversational abilities possible for Flemish and French.

“Lorinda has a nice voice and pace to lead participants …”

– attendee of group session

Who can be referred?

Clients (adults) that might be a good fit include:

those disconnected from nature (e.g. could benefit from more time outside, mindfully walking, sensing surroundings, gardening, observing wildlife etc.)

those seeking deeper connection with one’s self and wanting to pay more attention to their inner spirit

clients feeling stuck in their job or life (e.g. want to discover something new or make a change), expats/newcomers struggling with adapting to new life or losses of old life (e.g. accepting what is, approaching life with curiosity etc.)

patients with recent physical changes and limitations (e.g. preparing for and recovering from surgery, dealing with pain and mobility issues, incorporating mindful movement, aligning with women’s cycles and life moments, coping with breast cancer)

health workers, teachers, social workers or “people-helpers” of sorts that have lost motivation and feel exhausted (e.g. need rest and rejuvenation)

artists/craftspersons, musicians, creatives, change-makers, self-entrepreneurs that are hesitating to take a jump or are feeling overwhelmed (e.g. need some support to express themselves and shine!)

Considerations

Please note that while I am a certified teacher of mindfulness and of yoga, I am not qualified or trained in psychotherapy or physical therapy.

Referrals that might not suitable include if someone has:

–> recent burn-out

–> history of trauma or abuse

–> struggles with addiction (or are new to recovery -less than 1 year)

–> current intense engagement with psychotherapy (to be discussed with therapist)

–> acute depression, suicidal thoughts, psychosis (not treatable with medication)

Prior to making a client referral, please contact me so we can discuss whether it would be an appropriate match on both sides. Thank you.

What referral partners say

“We (in the group practice) would all refer to you, without a doubt. We all see the benefit!” – Psychiatrist

“I (will) pass the information on to my colleagues …they see many patients with stress complaints.” – Physiotherapist (Oncology rehabilitation)
