About Move Your Lymph
The Move Your Lymph sessions are designed to help you learn ways to stimulate the lymph system and to try these out in an individual or group guided setting.

Sessions typically include gentle movements, breathing and stretching. All levels welcome and modifications provided where possible for individual needs.

Sessions are in English, with conversational abilities in Flemish and French.

Individual private sessions

Join me for private sessions that will combine guided teaching with practical exercises personalised just for you – to get you and your lymph system moving.

Online and in-person* possible

One of the locations possible for in-person sessions is a cosy and inviting space, located on the ring road around Leuven, Belgium. Sessions take place in the Kinepraktijk space on the lower level (note there are stairs down to this room).

What is the lymphatic system?

Our lymphatic system is an important part of our body and helps protect us from disease and infection. Body movement and exercise can help lymph fluid move through our various systems and deep breathing can also help fluids circulate.

Why am I offering this program?

I have experienced my own health challenges that have resulted in me losing a key lymph node in my upper body. This has meant many lymphatic drainage appointments and kinetherapist consultations to learn how to rebalance and strengthen my body. A process that has not been easy and continues.

What has been missing for me is how to bring this knowledge into every day life, and I’m sure I am not alone.

This program has been designed with inspiration from therapists at the LYMFECENTRUM RUELENSVEST 29 in Leuven. My training as a certified yoga and mindfulness trainer means that I have a good understanding of what it means to be in touch with and listen to the body. And to recognize, respect and work with limits – imagined or real.

As is the case with any physical and emotional activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated./

Nederlandse versie: Ik begrijp dat yoga, ademwerk, mindfulness en andere daarmee samenhangende activiteiten fysieke bewegingen kunnen omvatten, maar ook een mogelijkheid voor pijn- en lichaamsbewustzijn, ontspanning, stress-heropvoeding en verlichting van spier- en emotionele spanning. Zoals het geval is bij elke fysieke en emotionele activiteit, is het risico op letsel, zelfs ernstig of invaliderend, altijd aanwezig, en kan dit niet volledig worden uitgesloten.

– English: I will make the instructor aware of any medical conditions, physical limitations or psychological disorders before class. If I experience any pain or discomfort during an event or course offered by Lorinda I will listen to my body, discontinue the activity, and ask for support from the instructor.
