Employee well-being

Help your team help you

Many aspects of life affect a person’s well-being. We may know this personally, but do we give the same consideration to our working life?

Why not share a pause with your team? Or learn something together? The impact may surprise you!

“Taking a day away from our busy life, our fast paced life, helps getting back to what is important: that is you! You are as important as everything else… No one can replace you in your life.”

– Chiara, participant of group offering

Possible themes for a well-being session

  • mindfulness and/or meditation
  • communication and mindful interactions with others
  • anxiety, stress at work or home, resilience
  • difficulty concentrating or having focus
  • mindful movement, yoga (adults, kids, chair yoga)
  • mindful eating, healthy lifestyle
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) – more info
  • forest walks, mindful walking, and taking time to appreciate nature
  • problems with sleep
  • something specific tailored to you or your team’s needs

“A great opportunity to re-center and learn skills for own wellbeing.”

– Anna, participant of group session

How a well-being session could be offered

  • consultations, specialized workshops and speakers series
  • one-off sessions for your events, lunch-time breaks or other activities
  • a mindful pause or movement instruction during an upcoming event or conference
  • part of or as an ongoing series (weekly, monthly, quarterly)
  • as part of a retreat, team-building or social club event
  • online or in-person depending upon the location (.e. if in the Brussels/Leuven region or surrounding areas in Belgium) – to be discussed before a commitment is made.

Participants “were enthusiastic” and “really happy about your training.” “They [participants] said your voice is soothing.”

I am a certified mindfulness and yoga teacher with over 20+ years working in communications and project management in corporate, government and non-profit sectors, including six years within the Euro-Brussels/European Union institutions.

I am comfortable conversing with a variety of people and personalities in a friendly and professional way. I am a chameleon that can blend into and adapt to many different environments and audiences – thus your team will be in good hands!

Each training session and workshop I provide is developed and implemented with best practices and basic foundational principles that come through my guidance and tips. There is always an element of interactivity to encourage participant engagement.

Sessions are currently offered in English language (I’m from Canada), with basic conversational abilities in Flemish and French.

What they say

“It was with great enthusiasm that our institution, VIB KU Leuven Center for Cancer Biology, welcomed the expertise of Lorinda Brinton, who conducted a series of sessions that garnered overwhelmingly positive responses.

The participants’ feedback was not only excellent but also accompanied by a strong desire for additional workshops featuring Lorinda’s guidance. The sessions, which included yoga, healthy eating, and meditation, not only met but surpassed our anticipated outcomes.

Lorinda’s professionalism and warmth significantly contributed to the success of these events, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees.

We express our sincere gratitude for her contributions and endorse her sessions without reservation, confident in the positive impact they will continue to have on participants’ well-being.”

How can mindfulness help an organisation?

Mindfulness helps us physically, emotionally, mentally and within our roles in the larger community.

Four areas of impact that connect mindfulness with the workplace and business*:

  • Financial impact (operations, numbers – for example reduction in sick days)
  • Human impact (wellbeing, stress, happiness of staff)
  • Mental capital impact (cognitive agility, creativity, inspiration)
  • Social impact (relationships, collaboration, connectivity, responsibility)
